Dr. Kaulfuss worked as a facilitator for Code.org on a variety of their curriculums for many years. Code.org’s training largely centered around pedagogy (the style and art of teaching). But Dr. Kaulfuss saw a lack of computer science training from educators. He worked overtime, working during lunch and showing up early to help people with the curriculum content. “I mean who gets a programming degree (6 figure potential) and goes into teaching (laughable salary)?” So Dr. Kaulfuss decided to create Kairos Education and assist editors.
